"Garden of Eden": Typography

This is an alphabet I created in my typography class. We were told to create a font that reflects a part of us. I chose to combine my religious beliefs and my Irish culture. The snake represents the snake from the Garden of Eden, this reflects the bible and the temptations that follow people around throughout their lives. The Celtic maze patterns drawn inside the letters represent ones journey through life. I did this whole project by hand and although it was VERY time consuming, it is one of the most rewarding outcomes! I've just posted a few of my favorites.

The 60's Housewife: A Story Telling Photo Series

This photography project is one of my all time favorite projects since being at LMU. We were given free range to select our topic and story line. Being a huge Mad Men fan, I chose to portray the lonely and depressed image of the 60's housewife. I did this by putting my subjects in the dire and mundane housewife settings, such as in the kitchen, drinking, and doing their hair. Aesthetically I used high contrast in the editing stage to give a dramatic and deserted feeling to the photos. I was very happy with the results and a big shout out to my roommates for being my models, thanks guys!

Body Image Motion Graphics

This project is one of the first motion graphics pieces I ever made. The directions for this project were to focus on timing and typography, syncing them with each other to create an aesthetically and audibly pleasing video. I used the issue of body image to relate this.

Long Exposure Photography Project

For my Advanced Multimedia Class last Spring I used the technique of long-exposure photography in order to capture motion through time. In these series of photographs you can see how each dancer got from point A to point B. The shots are fun and interesting to look at, enjoy!
